Good margs & filling food at popular Mexican eatery near resort
Après-ski, a tradition with people who take ski vacations, has become a rare treat for me. When there’s no traffic and good road conditions, Vail is two hours from my door — and seven ski areas are closer. Bottom line is that I have become a day-skier and a drop-out from the après-ski scene. I just spent a couple of days skiing Keystone, and without having to drive home, my friends and I decided to stop for a drink and bite after we left the mountain.
Dos Locos, across the highway from Keystone, sang out to us. Après-ski is the ski-town equivlalent of happy hour — good prices, limited menu, restaurants’ run-up to the busy dinner rush. The margaritas at Dos Locos were very good, and the food portions abundant.
