Local monthly’s list of eight great places to try now
5280 Magazine’s March 2012 issue just arrived. Its cover story is is its selection of the eight best restaurants that opened in the metro area in 2011. Seven have Denver addresses, and one is in Boulder. The write-ups all include mouth-watering photos and an “order this” suggestions from senior editor Amanda Faison, who wrote, “Our food scene has never been more vibrant, and with global street eats, Scandinavian-inspired cuisine and modern comfort food, it’s a thrilling time to be a foodie in the Mile High City.” I agree. Of that octet of newcomers to the local dining scene, I’ve been to only three, so I feel as if I have a lot of good eating to catch up on.
