Pastry students turn out professional-quality baked goods
Boulder pastry-lovers traditionally flocked to the Culinary School of the Rockies bake sales to buy delicious baked goods made by students in the school’s professional Pastry and Baking program. With two classes a year, there were two such sales annually. Now, the once-indy school has become the Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts, part of a larger enterprise. There are now more pastry-arts students in the professional program and therefore also more bake sales. There was one just last month, and the next will be Thursday, August 11 beginning at 4:30 p.m.
Cafe Auguste Pastry Program students are turning their kitchens into a pop-up bakery creating a huge selection of delicious baked goods. Thgese include:
• Artisan Breads
• French Pastries
• Breakfast Pastries
• Hand-Crafted Chocolates
• Gluten-Free Items
The school suggests coming coming early for the best selection. The school’s address is 637 South Broadway, but it’s easier to find if I just tell you that its’s on the west side of the Table Mesa Shopping Center. The phone number is 303-494-7988.
