Marczyk Fine Foods, a urban, urbane, sophisticated market for quality specialty foods, meats, seafood, produce, cheeses, baked goods and prepared foods in Uptown (plus an adjacent wine store) has been renovating a building on East Colfax. It is opening this morning at 8:00 a.m. If it were a restaurant, it would be called a “soft opening,” with little fanfare, no banner, no balloons, no VIP ribbon-cutting – just this online announcement: “Marczyk’s on Colfax will open Thursday, July 21, at 8am. It is still a work in progress and we might not have exactly what you need yet, but we have plenty to sell to you, our new neighbors.”
Not even an address, but I can tell you that it’s 5100 East Colfax Avenue (at Fairfax), Denver; 303-243-3355. And I can tell you that a grand opening is scheduled for August 6.
